Friday Five – Literary Trivia 5
April is for NaPoWriMo, which proves to me that the poets are just as crazy as we writers…
I think everyone will recognize my choice for this month’s trivia…

Chaucer served in the household of King Edward III, grandson of King Edward “Longshanks.” His wife was a lady-in-waiting to Lady Philippa, Edward III betrothed.
Although only 24 were completed, Chaucer had originally intended to write 100 stories in the Canterbury Tales.
Chaucer is known to have had two sons, but quite likely had two daughters as well. One, a nun, the other a lady-in-waiting to the young Henry IV.
As a teenager, was employed as page to the Lady Elizabeth deBurgh, Countess of Ulster.
Chaucer’s main patron seems to have been John of Gaunt, uncle to Richard II, regent for the boy king.
