A New Bedlam-themed prompt from a permanent resident of The Institute, Mel Choly.

This has been a very long, very trying summer. I am glad to see the back-end of it, let me tell you! Even though there were some ups, there were a lot of terrible downs. And let-downs, a lot of let-downs; the silver lining there is that I know now who I can turn to when I need to stop being the strong one, the dead one. Bless ‘em!
Inevitably, things run their course, right? And here at casa de crazy, the good is finally starting to out-run the bad.

 
The first Indiegogo campaign was wonderful, and we raised $310 before the time ran out. We’ve started another, and hopefully we’ll get closer to the goal this time.

It’s been over two months since I posted something. In that time, I’ve been absolutely crazy busy, and most of my updates have been in the form of quick fly-bys at Facebook or Twitter. I needed a short breather today, so I’m taking my lunch early, and writing a post. If you click through, please note there is a rather graphic image in the full post!

That title reminds me, just from the cadence and word similarity, of something my grandmother used to say as she shoo’d me up the stairs to bed.
          “Shadrach, Meshach – now to bed you go!”
Yes, I do know where the names are from – the three devout men thrown into a furnace for not worshiping a statue: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Some witches do know other stuff, ya know.
