We’ve come to that time in winter when I’m craving good old-time comfort food. The problem is, these foods are often pretty plain, because that’s how my Gran cooked. She made do with what she knew, and what she had.

Writing a ‘natural’ death scene may come easily for some, but definitely not for me. Murder? Yes, that I can do. Suicide? Sure, not a problem. Emotionally wrecking, soul wrenching, machinations for dehydration?

I grew up rurally. I still live in a rural area, although I have the benefits of paved streets, town water and sewer and garbage pick-up. The community I live in has about 450 people.

I met Samuel Wagar online almost fifteen years ago, on an email list for pagans that had been following the path for 20+ years. I met him in person (finally!) at Gaia Gathering in Edmonton, in spring of 2005. What a weekend! Someday, I’d really love to have us all get together again…
