The author guest blog fell through for this month, so I thought I’d post a sneak peek at the novella I’m working on for the Big Bang challenge via WriYe. It’s pretty much done, but could be worked into something larger.

This month, our topic is editing. Instead of talking on and on about the process I use for working with others, I’m going to babble about how Mel keeps me in line when it comes to my own work.

Spring is coming, possibly already starting to arrive… we’ve got water running on the inside of our walls again, so I’m fairly certain the ice and snow from the roof is starting to melt and leak through.

I use a lot of pictures when I’m writing. Either to get a visual on the mental image I have for a setting, or to work around for characterization.
These are some of the shots I’ve used to inspire me for Windygates – still a work in progress!
