I woke up after about two hours of sleep last night, and when I couldn’t get back to sleep, I did some catch-up for my WriYe stuff. I realized that I didn’t work on Mourning Dove (re-titled Damages) as much as I’d wanted to. In fact, I’m not sure I put more than 800 words into it all month. It’s been a pretty bad couple weeks here. I can’t say it’s been fun, or even remotely the less-stress-route the doc described. BUT… I had an interesting phone call today… and received probably the best news I’ve heard in a very long while. I can’t repeat it, not yet anyway, but someday. In the meantime, this was me.

I’m starting to think time isn’t as linear as it appears. I am beginning to believe it’s circular, and just like the lunar cycle, it comes back to show it’s full face.
Last spring my house was full of chaos, and due to circumstances obviously chaotic and out of our control, the spring clean and cleanse didn’t happen. It didn’t really change over the summer and fall, and we were just settling in to get it cleared out when more chaos landed in our laps. The same thing, repeating.
*le sigh*

Things are liable to be sketchy around here for a while. There are some issues that need to be dealt with, and it’s going to take time away from the keyboard and work, etc. Everything is being sorted out, but my pet-project is again on hold for now.
