(edited to fix title, remind me not to put symbols in the titles anymore!!!)
My tongue in cheek (No, really. Honestly!) piece titled “Trip ‘em” was just accepted into Library of the Living Dead’s The Moron’s Guide to the Inevitable Zombocalypse edited by Tim Long (author of Among the Living).
Got some work done, not as sniffly, great email from the Boss Zombie himself, and an acceptance from Tim. Damn good day!

What do you think, blessing or curse?
Personally, I think it could go either way. I’m a strong believer in Karma, and in dealing with one’s Karmic responsibilities. Getting what you deserve. Think about that for a moment. Do you really want what you deserve? Deep inside your heart of hearts – have you been a very good person?
No. None of us have. We’re all fallible. We’ve said things in anger, or in spite, or in jealousy. We’ve done things for all the same reasons. I highly doubt anyone I know …
So, I don’t remember if I did this here last year, and I’m so lazy today I’m not going to go look. I know I’ve done it other years, and at least once on Louise’s old forum…the first one, not the last one.
Anyway – I went in very early this morning and did my voting in the P&E Reader’s Poll, and two nomination/votes. What I found on the tally page made me turn around and go back and vote in some spots I hadn’t before. EDITED TO ADD: …

Two acceptances carried over from 2008, The Legless Ones in The Black Garden Anthology, and It Never Lasts Forever in 52 Stitches ‘zine AND Anthology.
I did not finish any of the novels in progress.
I wrote 7 new shorts, and perhaps some day I’ll fix ‘em up and get ‘em into circulation.
I’ve lost count of the reviews, interviews, and other non-fiction stuff I wrote this year. I was going to re-tally, but I don’t know. The troubles …
2009 had amazing ups and downs for me, like a giant roller-coaster. I know it was like that for many others in the publishing world as well, from writers to editors right down to the very publishers themselves.
It’s been a long work-filled year, sometimes enjoyable, definitely exciting and often troubling. The new friends I’ve made have been – for the most part – a solid bunch, letting me help when I could, helping me when they could and just being an all around great bunch of people. They’ve made my …
If the girls posted anything on youtube or facebook or wherever that says I uh..had an emotional moment while watching my Christmas movie – they lie. *nodnod* yep. Lie.
I did not get all gooey over the first appearance of Little Ann and Old Dan, I did not giggle when Billy was training them with an old coon skin, I did not get all excited when he took them out on their first hunt.
I did not laugh when the bully fell on the axe. Okay, maybe I did.
I did …
Rhia made this tonight…LOL
I think I pulled a muscle laughing… the elves on the rooftop with me are my younger brothers, btw.
