This would be why no one should sneak into someone else’s house dressed as Santa Claus. Care’s favorite Christmas song as of last year. Needless to say, this disturbed my mother, when Care sang it, word for word (and with sound effects, too) at one of the family dinners. This year, when it’s time for us to leave her house, I’m going to have Care sing it. Again. With actions to go with the lyrics and sound effects.

When I can’t sleep, and I can’t relax enough to try – and my mind won’t let me work on edits or writing – I either read blogs, hop around Graveside and Louise’s forums, or head over to Pogo.com for some free games.

I am really a very sad Ebayer. If I get into anything that remotely looks like it might end up in a bidding war, I go… well, I go silly.
Anyway, I’d found this lot of Care Bears, and I’ve won. From the looks of the image, they’re in absolutely mint condition, and are going to be a spectacular addition to the basket the girls and I are putting together for the local kids that lost their house in a fire earlier in the fall. It was nice to wake up to no headache and no residual wonkiness for a change. I’ve managed to dive back into the editing briefly today, with only occasional trips out to the livingroom to scan the scene of the monumental cleaning session this past weekend.
Obviously, my own writing has not gone so well. I can tell; the frequency of the migraines, the nightmares and the acts of random tidying are increasing. I’ve given up on participation in NaNoWriMo this year. After all, there is only six days remaining, and …
