Happy Beltaine or May Day, or just… hey it’s almost Friday!
I wish I had some shots of the apiary spring yard where the girls and I were yesterday, marking spots where the wild prairie crocus are beginning to come back. The girls’ boss had given Carrie a bunch of little yard flags, and we came back with only five… and we didn’t mark each cluster. So many little red flags flapping in the wind, in amongst the little hives. A beautiful thing, not only for the wild coming back, but …

Guest Blogger – Christine Morgan

Christine is one of those authors-slash-editors I’ve admired for years, and when I had the chance to work with her, I was over the moon. I’ve been privileged to be able to work with her as an author with her titles at Belfire, and as an editor (I co-authored a short story for the anthology Fossil Lake), and mostly, to call her my friend.
PS – it’s not Christine’s fault about last month, even though she’s graciously taking the blame… I forgot to put dates with the names on my list. …

It’s quiet here today. Rhia has been at her dad’s since Tuesday, and Carrie is back at work now. Usually it is quiet even when they’re both home; Rhia sleeps late and Carrie either listens to music while she draws, or she’s gaming, or sometimes catches up on series we didn’t have on TV when we still had a provider. Bless Netflix.
