We’ve all done it before, overestimated the amount of potatoes to cook for a dinner or two, and we end up with leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge.
St. Patrick’s day – something we don’t particularly celebrate for a few reasons, although we used to quite diligently, but whatever – has come and gone, leaving behind a mountain of leftovers for some folks.

Now that the universe has reminded the BeeGirl and I precisely why we should never – ever – get our hopes up for anything, I’m ready for a spring do-over. Starting April 1, more focus on work and writing, spring cleaning and prep for gardening. So many people had such a horrible year last year; some even had it carried over from 2013. For us, we had the two seriously stressful points last year, a handful the year before. Neither as bad (perhaps in hindsight?) as they could have been. I mean, geez, I write some pretty dark fiction sometimes, so I can come up with crazy, dark scenarios.

LOVIN’ THE WEATHER! But…
While I’m loving the price of fuel these days, I’m not liking the exchange rate. It’s been a while since our dollar was so far below par with the US, and that makes stocking up on my books for various fairs and whatnot a real stinker of a deal. My order was $50 more in Canadian funds than it was in US.
