Recipe Box – Leftover Mashed Potato Ideas

We’ve all done it before, overestimated the amount of potatoes to cook for a dinner or two, and we end up with leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge.
St. Patrick’s day – something we don’t particularly celebrate for a few reasons, although we used to quite diligently, but whatever – has come and gone, leaving behind a mountain of leftovers for some folks.

11 of 52 Weeks – Spring Do-Over

Now that the universe has reminded the BeeGirl and I precisely why we should never – ever – get our hopes up for anything, I’m ready for a spring do-over. Starting April 1, more focus on work and writing, spring cleaning and prep for gardening. Scribbles – Seriously, Enough.

So many people had such a horrible year last year; some even had it carried over from 2013. For us, we had the two seriously stressful points last year, a handful the year before. Neither as bad (perhaps in hindsight?) as they could have been. I mean, geez, I write some pretty dark fiction sometimes, so I can come up with crazy, dark scenarios.

LOVIN’ THE WEATHER! But…
While I’m loving the price of fuel these days, I’m not liking the exchange rate. It’s been a while since our dollar was so far below par with the US, and that makes stocking up on my books for various fairs and whatnot a real stinker of a deal. My order was $50 more in Canadian funds than it was in US.
Ouch. And if those books don’t sell? Yeah. Double ouch. Ah well, fair and farmer’s market season is rapidly approaching, and that means I’ve gotta …
